Pa made a strong showing, with 48 states correctly identified. Ma was a little fuzzy on some of those states in the middle of the country. As for Big kid, there is a lot of room for improvement … we are optimistic that by the end of the trip she will do much, much better. Little kid crumpled his map into a ball and threw it.

Look What I Made!
At school we got to do a project. I chose to make a miniature model of our RV. At first I was going to make it out of plywood, but then Pa said that I should make it out of balsa wood because you can cut balsa wood with an x-acto knife. First I cut out the the two main sides. Then I cut out the bottom, the top, and the back. Next I cut out details like the door and windows, etc. After that I glued everything together. Last, I painted it white and glued paper on for the front. Done!
Declining packing standards
We have been emptying out the house for the tenants for weeks now, putting all our stuff in the shed attached to the carport. At first we carefully organized things into boxes, labeled each box, and stacked each box neatly. However, as time goes by we have been getting more and more lackadaisical, to the point now that we don’t even pretend to be trying to keep things organized. If we come across something that needs to go in the shed we just throw it on top of The Pile and move on.
Added new “Where are we going?” page
I added a new page to the menu bar called “Where are we going?” that has a map showing our planned route up to Alaska.
